Jena Malone may be on target for a serious career resurgence, thanks to "Catching Fire," the sequel to"The Hunger Games."
The raven-haired actress has reportedly been offered the part of Johanna Mason in the blockbuster film's follow-up.
Malone was one of several names being considered by production company Lionsgate, but she has been offered the part and is negotiating terms, according to THR.com.
The character, a previous winner of the fictional Hunger Games that play out in Suzanne Collins' novels, is a significant supporting role opposite Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen and Josh Hutcherson's Peeta Mellark.
The second film follows Katniss and Peeta back into the deadly game arena, where an All Stars-style death challenge awaits previous winners.
